Jo McGarry Curran is widely recognized as an authority in the field of food and wine. Her experience of the restaurant industry in Hawaii and in Europe and her years spent as a food and wine writer have given her unprecedented access to restaurant operations – both front and back of house. Jo is also Hawaii’s foremost authority on food, wine and restaurants. She was the restaurant specialist at Honolulu Star Advertiser and the publisher of Gusto Magazine for ten years, and wrote two food columns for Midweek. Her radio talk show and podcast, Radio MoJo, is a weekly hour of conversation with chefs and winemakers about the food scene in Hawaii and beyond. Guests include local celebrity chefs, mom and pop restaurant owners and visiting food industry celbs when they come to the islands. Jo also takes her show on the road whenever possible and loves nothing more than settling in for a Single Malt Scotch Podcast in her beloved native country, Scotland.
